We stayed up late last night to watch the new President of the United States Barack Obama address the throng gathered at Chicago’s Grant Park. What an eloquent, touching and gracious speech from an inspirational leader. What started as a dream has now become a reality and the world, it seems, is ready for a new dawn. His victory, Obama says, is built from the selfless determination of the men and women to helped in his campaign. His victory is theirs as well.
It was built by working men and women who dug into what little savings they had to give five dollars and ten dollars and twenty dollars to this cause. It grew strength from the young people who rejected the myth of their generations apathy; who left their homes and their families for jobs that offered little pay and less sleep; from the not-so-young people who braved the bitter cold and scorching heat to knock on the doors of perfect strangers; from the millions of Americans who volunteered, and organized, and proved that more than two centuries later, a government of the people, by the people and for the people has not perished from this Earth. This is your victory.
Change has come to America. Soon, change shall come to the world.

We were emotional too when we watched his speech. The faces on the people in the crowd said it all. It was a night that was filled with hope and optimism too. And yes, true evil is always lurking somewhere in the shadows.
That was the most FATATIC speech i have ever heard in my whole life how i which i was in chicago to join OBAMA’s supporters in rejoicing. I belive his moving into the white house will defininate bring change to tis entire world because i know American rules the world.we shall make it ,YES WE CAN.I’m so happy the dreams of our fore fathers Matin Luther has been fulfill in him.HE was not judge by the color of his skin but by the content of his character and above all his WONDERFUL speech.I am a CAMEROONIAN, I LOVE OBAMA< I LOVE THE USA.

i tell ya what the was a very important day for me. first of all it was my first time to actually personally cast my vote at the polls. i usually cast my vote through mail in ballots but days leading to nov. 04 i felt something in me that made me go up, line up and wait for thirty minutes and actually feed my ballot into the machine. i was part of something big, part of history and watching them count the ballots that night, watching him make his speech in chi-town bought tears to my eyes. for the first time i felt that my voice actually counts, that my vote mattered. now everyday i silently pray that he doesn’t get killed because there is true evil out there that wont let change in.
