James Allen, an F1 pundit from ITV, disagrees with Ron Dennis’s ambivalence towards Fernando Alonso’s championship win.
Ron Dennis very cleverly sought to offset some of Raikkonen’s disappointment recently by saying that the world championship is only a ‘badge’ and that Kimi has been the better driver this year.

The end of an era.
Michael is the man. He and Ayrton Senna are the best F1 drivers to ever walk this earth. Fernando Alonso may be just one race away from being F1’s youngest ever champion but he’s no Michael. Kimi may be destined for greatness but he’ll never be Michael Schumacher.

Felipe Massa will race for Ferarri next year. He’s gonna need a lot of luck, that Massa guy. It’s not easy being in a team where your racing partner is the greatest driver of this generation.

Never in the last five years did I cheer for Schumacher. But I cheered for him last night and believe me, he deserved to win that race. Bah.

Formula 1 fans must be scratching their heads in disbelief right at this very moment.
The United States Grand Prix has turned into a sad farce, with all 14 Michelin shod cars pulling straight into the pits at the start of the race.
